Hemos tenido menores que se han presentado en nuestra oficina despu\u00e9s del plazo de un a\u00f1o porque fueron mal informados por otras personas.<br \/>\n2) Solicitar asilo siendo menor de edad: Solicitar asilo antes de cumplir los 18 a\u00f1os tiene la ventaja de que la solicitud se decide fuera de un tribunal de inmigraci\u00f3n y si la solicitud es denegada, el solicitante todav\u00eda puede ser escuchado ante un juez de inmigraci\u00f3n.<br \/>\n3) Pregunte a un abogado sobre otras opciones adem\u00e1s del asilo: Muchos de estos menores podr\u00e1n optar al Estatus Especial de Inmigrante Juvenil (SIJS), pero hemos comprobado que esta opci\u00f3n no siempre se explora.
